کم هزینه / با کیفیت هزینه برنامه های زندگی در غیر انتفاعی تئاتر
Abstract: In this paper, I will argue for quality-of-life programs as an effective recruiting tool for nonprofit theatres. Through review of the current literature and interviews, I will explore impediments to and best practice implementation strategies, while examining how theatres are grappling with changing priorities and attitudes of non-profit theatre leadership. Specific focus is given to low cost/no cost quality of life programs that theaters can employ to entice young leaders to enter and remain in the field. Finally, this paper includes recommendations for California Repertory Company (Cal Rep), the graduate arm of the Theatre Department at California State University, Long Beach. The strategies laid out in this paper could give Cal Rep additional tools with which to recruit and retain the best possible students for its MFA/MBA program.
